Company: Company details

Enter your reporting company's legal identity, group position, and registration data — the root record that all providers, contracts, and functions in the register connect to.

Fields covered on this page:

Reporting company's name

The legal name of the entity maintaining the register, as registered with the relevant authority.

What to enter

Enter the full legal registration name.

Do not use a brand name, trading name, or abbreviation.

Classification

The regulatory classification of the reporting company, determined by its licence type.

What to enter

Select the classification that matches your licence.

The available options cover all entity types in scope of DORA, including credit institutions, payment institutions, investment firms, insurers, and others.

NOTE:

  • If your entity holds multiple licences that could qualify it under more than one type, select the classification that reflects your primary regulated activity.

  • Use one consistent type throughout the register. If you are unsure which type applies, consult your competent authority before submitting.

  • Only one entity type can be reported per LEI.

  • The register must cover all contracts and providers associated with all applicable licence types regardless of which type is selected.

ID type

The type of identification code used to identify the reporting company.

What to enter

Select LEI as the first option.

Select EUID only if no LEI is available and the entity is registered in an EU Member State business register.

Use other code types only if neither LEI nor EUID is available.

NOTE:

  • Only LEI is accepted for identifying financial entities in the reporting templates.

  • Alternatives are a last resort and will be flagged as data quality issues.

ID code

The identification code corresponding to the ID type selected.

What to enter

Enter the code exactly as it appears in the relevant registry.

A LEI is always 20 alphanumeric characters.

An EUID includes a dot separating the country/register code from the company identifier — enter the full code including the dot.

NOTE:

  • If your LEI has lapsed, renew it before submission.

  • LEIs are validated against the GLEIF database during supervisory checks.

If you're having issues, see Identifier and code issues.

Registration country

The country where the entity's licence or registration was issued.

What to enter

Select the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code for the jurisdiction where the entity is licensed or registered.

Your position in company group

The reporting company's position within its corporate group hierarchy.

What to enter

Select the position that reflects the entity's actual role.

Available positions:

  • Ultimate parent undertaking

  • Parent undertaking of a sub-consolidated part

  • Subsidiary

  • Not part of a group

  • Service provider acting on behalf of a financial entity for all activities.

NOTE:

  • If the entity fulfils more than one option, select the higher-level option.

  • For example, if the entity is both a parent and a subsidiary depending on the part of the group, select the highest applicable position.

If you're having issues, see Entity, branch, and group structure issues.

Direct parent company's LEI

The LEI of the entity directly above the reporting company in the group hierarchy.

What to enter

Enter the 20-character LEI of the direct parent.

If the reporting company has no parent — because it is the ultimate parent or is not part of a group — enter the reporting company's own LEI in this field.

NOTE:

  • This field cannot be left empty.

  • If no parent exists, the entity's own LEI is the required value.

If you're having issues, see Entity, branch, and group structure issues.

Is reporting company a branch?

Whether this reporting company is itself a branch of another legal entity rather than a standalone entity or group member.

What to enter

Select Yes only if the reporting company is a branch — not a subsidiary.

A subsidiary is a separate legal entity; a branch is not.

If you're having issues, see Entity, branch, and group structure issues.

Financial reporting currency

The currency used in the reporting company's financial statements.

What to enter

Select the ISO 4217 alphabetic currency code that matches the currency used in the entity's latest financial statements.

This currency applies to all cost fields in the register.

Total asset value

The total asset value of the reporting company from its latest annual financial statements.

What to enter

Enter the monetary value in the reporting currency, in units.

The source of this value varies by entity type — credit institutions use a specific regulatory template row, insurers use a different template, and most other entity types use the statutory accounts value.

NOTE:

  • This value is used in the CTPP designation process by supervisory authorities. Use the most recent available audited figure.

If you're having issues, see Register setup, reporting metadata, and form state issues.

When did reporting company start registering providers and their contracts?

The date on which the reporting company began formally registering and managing ICT third-party provider contracts.

What to enter

Enter the date in YYYY-MM-DD format.

This is not the date you started using Copla Registry — it is the date the entity began maintaining a formal ICT third-party register, which may predate the tool.

ROI deletion date

The date on which this entity's register was or will be deleted.

What to enter

If the register is active, enter 9999-12-31.

Enter an actual date only if the entity has been deregistered, wound down, or is no longer in scope of DORA.

If you're having issues, see Register setup, reporting metadata, and form state issues.

Reporting company's subsidiaries

The list of subsidiaries within the reporting company's group that fall within the consolidation scope of the register.

What to enter

List all subsidiaries that are financial entities in scope of DORA and part of the same group.

This establishes the consolidation scope for the register.

NOTE:

  • ICT service providers that are part of the group but are not financial entities are not listed here.

  • They are recorded as intra-group providers in the Arrangements section.
