How does RoI validation work in Copla Registry?
Validation ensures that all required data is completed before exporting the registry.
Form-level validation
Each form includes different types of required fields:
-
Red asterisk (*) fields
-
Mandatory for saving the form
-
If not completed, the form cannot be saved even as Draft
-
-
Blue asterisk (*) fields
-
Mandatory for export
-
Form can be saved as Draft
-
But cannot be marked as “Ready to Export” until completed
-
-
Fields without an asterisk
-
Optional
-
Not required for saving or exporting
-
Export validation
Validation is triggered when clicking “Export”:
-
Checks all forms marked as “Ready to Export”
-
Verifies that all required fields are completed
-
Displays errors if any mandatory data is missing
-
Aligns export period with contract start and end dates
-
Compiles data into registry tables/files
-
Generates a .zip package and downloads it to your browser
Error display behavior
-
Errors are not shown during initial data entry
-
Validation runs when:
-
Form is marked as “Ready to Export”, and
-
“Update and Stay” is clicked
-
-
Missing or incorrect fields are then highlighted
Bottom line:
You can save incomplete data as Draft, but full validation is enforced before export to ensure the registry meets submission requirements.
